BeDimensional was born in 2016 after more than 10 years of work and research in the world of two-dimensional materials by the two co-founders Vittorio Pellegrini and Francesco Bonaccorso. The research culminated in the founding of the Graphene Labs at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in 2013, directed by Vittorio Pellegrini until 2020, with the mission of developing a new class of intelligent materials based on graphene and other 2D layered materials. From April 1st 2020, Vittorio Pellegrini and Francesco Bonaccorso joined BeDimensional as full-time employees.
The purpose of the company is the implementation of an industrial production of graphene crystals with few atomic layers and other two-dimensional (2D) crystals, based on a patented technology developed in IIT and licensed exclusively to BeDimensional and also the commercialization of liquid and solid solutions based on 2D crystals in the strategic sector linked to the energy transition. |
